Mary Jane (Hounshell) Fugate

Mary Jane Hounshell Fugate, age 88 of Wellington, KY passed away Wednesday March 20, 2024, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center , Morehead, KY after a brief illness. She was a member of member of the Pomeroyton Union Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & great great grandmother. She was born October 24, 1935, in Wilstacy, KY to Henry Harlan & Ollie Clemons Hounshell.

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Harlan & Ollie Clemons Hounshell, one daughter, Clara Jean Lawson. Four brothers, Willard Hounshell, Kelly Hounshell, James Hounshell, Charles Hounshell, two sisters, Clearie Hounshell, Readie Fugate.

Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Simon Fugate, three daughters, Ann Peck (Kirk), Gail Graves (Clint), Rose Davis. Four sons, Basil Ray Fugate, Harlan Fugate, Moses Fugate (Polly), Simon Fugate Jr (Brandon). Twelve grandchildren, Kamilia Lawson, Sheena Murphy, Jarrod Fugate, Linda Helton, Moses Ray Fugate, Emily Peck, Amanda Peck, Belicia Sexton, Alexia Townsend, Charlie Ferrell, Faith Back, James Plowman. Sixteen great grandchildren & four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday March 23, 2024, at the Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Bro. Terry Wells & Bro. Jimmy Daulton officiating. Interment will be held at the Fugate Family Cemetery, Wellington, KY. Visitation starts at 12:00 PM Saturday March 23, 2024, at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY.
